DEMOGRAPHICS OF THE PHYSICAL AUDIENCE TARGETED: The target audience for my website is for all audience interested in learning about cooking in general, not only local style dishes, but in the future to collect dishes from different countries or local islands around the Marianas. Visitors who visit the island, like tourists, military, local people, etc… and cooking is for all ages, there is no age limit and no specific preference (Male or Female). This website displays user friendly menus that also is simple for people of all ages to preview, so there are no hidden links or anything that is difficult about the website to interact with. Though for now it is local style (Guam) dishes, but I will be expanding soon. This site will also allow people to place their blog, inputs, and have interaction (chats, weblogs, etc…) with one another, so that people could share their recipes with one-another all over the world. I know that everyone that enjoys cooking and loves to cook will enjoy this web-site, not only people who visited the island or heard bout it’s great food and fiestas. This also targets a network of friends and family to put their favorite dishes. I think for now (the present) this will target people who like Asian style food that uses a lot of spice and peppers. I will be maintaining this website through my local domain carrier; the site will be transferred to the following site once it is established: www.learn-simple-dish.com. I or my family (friends, cousin, etc...) will have rights and access (admin) to maintain this account. There will also be a page to share photos and more ideas for cooking. I will be utilizing Java Applets, and HTML coding. This will be open source and there is no user names or passwords required. There will be a page for shopping and purchasing different spices, shirts, hats, etc… mostly relating to cooking and the ideas from the site. I will also be utilizing FTP to transfer most documents and pictures that are large in size. This website can be used through all web-browsers, and should not have a problem with any web-browser or operating system.

HOW THE WEBSITE DESIGN MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE TARGET AUDIENCE: First let me describe the web-site and the and how it correlates to specific needs of the audience. First I will use simple links that are large in font and also in the future I will be able to convert the website to different languages (standardize per location). I will be showing pictures for each end item of the different kinds of food. The design is very user friendly and will have a simple layout design and use simple graphics and a [plain back ground.
PURPOSE: The purpose of my website is to start working on all dishes local and non-local eventually to be updated in the near future. I would like to collect famous dishes of food local and from around the world. I am starting from my local favorite dishes, but would love to move on around the local islands and eventually famous dishes around the world. This purpose is also to create a simple atmosphere were cooking the dish is very simple and to the point, almost like a short-cut to cooking famous dishes. A lot of cookbooks are very difficult, and require a lot of time and patience to understand and figure out, but with this simple website that has a simple ingredients and directions page, make it very easy to follow step by step instructions. |
